According to 'Sport' newspaper, Luis Suárez's autobiography reveals details about the FIFA ban he was given for biting Chiellini.
"They treated me like a criminal", he said in the book titled 'Luis Suárez, My Story: Crossing the Line', before going on to reveal that he did not cry when he heard the news because Uruguay boss, Tabárez was there.
Despite that, the Barça forward admits that he made a mistake. "It was my fault. It was the third time something like that happened to me and I needed help, although I was an easy target. Biting scares a lot of people, but it's relatively inoffensive, or at least it was in the incidents I was involved in".
Suárez compares his bite with the most famous biting incident in boxing history. "None of my bites were like Mike Tyson's on Evander Holyfield, but nobody cares about that".
He recalls his first day in the Barça dressing room, once his ban had been lifted. If was at the Gamper Trophy and, according to Suárez, Luis Enrique said: "They've finally released him from Guantanamo Bay to be with us. Everyone applauded the newly-released prisoner and I tried not to blush".
The Uruguayan also reveals that it was Gerrard who convinced him not to join 'the Gunners'. "He was spot on. He said stay, play well for Liverpool, and Bayern, Madrid or Barça will soon come calling, because you're good enough to play anywhere".
