Cuba wins Five Medals in NACAC Track & Field Championships

Cuba earned a bronze medal in the men's 4x400m relay in the last competitive day of the 2018 NACAC Track & Field Championships which concluded last Sunday in the Canadian city of Toronto.
The Cuban quartet, made up by Yoandys Lescay, Adrian Chacon, Leandro Zamora and Ruben Rey Caballero, scored time of 3:04.11 minutes, according to the official website of the contest.
The race was won by United States (3: 00.60) while the silver medal went to the Bahamas (3: 03.80).
Also last Sunday, Cuban Zuriam Hechevarria finished fourth in the women´s 400m hurdles with record of 55.71 seconds, in event won by US´s Shamier Little (53.32), who was escorted by Jamaican Janieve Russell (53.81) and American Georganne Moline (54.26).
According to NACAC website, Cuba won five medals in this tournament, divided into two gold, one silver and two bronzes.
The titles went to woman discus thrower Yaime Perez and man triple jumper Jordan Diaz; while women Yarisley Silva (pole vault) and Rose Mary Almanza (800 meters) ranked second and third respectively.
