The Magic of Classical Dance to Illuminate Theater in Havana

Scenes of Giselle, Nutcracker, Coppelia, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty and Gottschalk Symphony will be seen on the stage of the Federico Garcia Lorca room on February 4, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14.
The first figures of the company Anette Delgado, Dani Hernandez and Alfredo Ibáñez will lead the presentations with the musical accompaniment of the Symphony Orchestra of Alicia Alonso Grand Theater of Havana, under the direction of maestro Giovanni Duarte.
The Magic of Dancing includes relevant moment of ballet in respectful and creative versions that show how the Cuban school of ballet assumed tradition.
With more than four centuries of existence, the classical dance has enriched its scenic proposals, which had had as outstanding moments Romanticism and Classicism, artistic movements of the 19th Century.
Founded by prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso alongside the brothers Fernando and Alberto Alonso in 1948, the National Ballet of Cuba is now a benchmark for the world for its high artistic and technical level.
