The ninth edition of the Eyeife International Electronic Music Festival is celebrating sonic innovation and cultural diaspora by announcing the winners of its 2025 Creation Contest.

According to a press release from its organizers, the event promotes the fusion of electronic music with elements of Cuban music, reaffirming its commitment to exploring new narratives from the Cuban identity and integrating talents both on and off the island.

Following a call aimed at Cuban artists under the age of 35, works were received from Cuban DJs residing all over the world. The jury was composed of experienced figures from the contemporary music scene, including Wilma Alba Cal, Dj Reitt, Enmanuel Blanco, and Mauricio Abad.

The First Prize was awarded to 26-year-old Dj Afronamy, a resident of Santiago de Cuba, for his track "Igbese". The Second Prize was awarded to the composition "Agüemale" by 31-year-old Dannid, a resident of Havana. The Third Prize was awarded to the work "Biblioteca" by the project Arank, consisting of Mazarick and Kevin Dberrio, based in Havana.

Similarly, the jury decided to award three Special Mentions: the first to 33-year-old Yongolailan, a resident of New York, USA, for his track "The flood"; the second to 25-year-old Willy Mane, a resident of Havana, for his remix of the work "Bacalao con Pan"; and the third mention was assigned to 20-year-old Reggis, a resident of Havana, for his track "Ashé".

The winners will receive cash rewards, inclusion in the lineup of the 2025 International Eyeife Festival, and special promotion of their tracks on the festival's platforms.

The information shared by the Festival organizers concludes by congratulating all participants, and especially the winners, whose work exemplifies this call for creation without borders. It also signifies that some of this talent will shine at the ninth edition, to be held next December.
