Weak TV signal in Cuba due to unstable power system

The television signal in Cuba is experiencing noticeable cuts on several channels, and its quality fluctuates due to the instability of the National Power System (SEN), recently hit by Hurricane Rafael, RadioCuba reported on Tuesday.
In a press release on its Telegram channel, the operator of Cuba’s television and radio service told its clients that these anomalies will disappear as the country’s recovery efforts advance, and in particular the complete stability of the SEN.
RadioCuba highlighted the efforts made by workers and managers of the Electric Union, and asked its clients for understanding for the inconvenience. In recent months, Cuba’s SEN has collapsed, due to a shortage of fuel, the restrictions due to the United States blockade, the closure of several generating plants and, more recently, the impact of Hurricanes Oscar, in the east, and Rafael, in the west.
