Tokyo, Oct 12 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan Robert Suarez became the first Latino with 40 saves in a professional baseball season in Japan, by ensuring Hashin's 2-1 victory over Yomiuri.

From the mound at the Tokyo Dome stadium, the right-handed pitcher took out four batters from the Giants in one and a third inning of work, enough to become the seventeenth to achieve the feat in the history of the ball circuit.
