"I'm still dreaming of Havana," US rapper Big Freedia, the Queen of Bounce, said while expressing gratitude for the warm welcome she received during her recent trip to Cuba, in a video circulating on social media on Thursday.
Freedia posted on Instagram “the wonderful people I met there” and recalled the opportunities to connect with the audience during her performances and a fashion show “with amazing Havana designers¨.
“Thank you again for welcoming me,” the award-winning New Orleans artist and influencer said.
Freedia performed at the famous Cuban Art Factory in mid-November.
During her stay in Cuba, the public knew the musical work of the hip-hop singer, defending racial and gender equality and the rights of the LGBTQI+ community.
Rooted in the southern United States, New Orleans bounce emerged in the early 90s of the 20th century and is a more sedate musical variety of hip-hop.
