Activists of the solidarity movement with Cuba in Chile donated on Friday a state-of-the-art minimally invasive surgery tower to the 10 de Octubre Clinical Surgical Teaching Hospital in Havana.
Ramiro Burgos, member of Colectivo Internacionalista, handed over the US$13,000-equipment, in addition to medical supplies such as sutures, informed the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
At the ceremony, Brugos expressed great satisfaction “for this achievement that fills with pride and drives us to new purposes to help Cuba, where we were trained and welcomed as brothers”.
Upon receiving the donation, the director of the hospital, Janet Cristóbal, thanked for this gesture and also expressed gratitude to those who on previous occasions have sent donations, such as the Nicaraguan Anti-imperialist Network of Solidarity with the Peoples Augusto César Sandino, the Colombian movement of solidarity with Cuba and the Latin American and Caribbean Continental Solidarity Network.
