Spanish Health Minister Salvador Illa ruled out on Saturday that the Government is going to establish mandatory vaccination against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes Covid-19.
Interviewed by RAC1 radio station, Illa alluded to the vaccination plan against Covid-19 that Socialist Party leader Pedro Sanchez will approve on Tuesday.
This vaccination plan will start in early 2021, and the aim is to have 47 million Spanish citizens immunized between May and July, 2021, the minister said.
Illa insisted that immunization against SARS-CoV-2 will not be mandatory, because it could even be counterproductive, according to the experts' criteria.
