Havana, Jul 15 (Prensa Latina) As part of the celebrations for its 35th anniversary,

Retazos Dance and theater company exhibits today its mastery on stage with the play Mis ojos sin tus ojos (My eyes without your eyes), created by the director of the Cuban company, Isabel Bustos.

During two days of presentations, the ensemble will evoke, through movements, the literary work of Miguel Hernandez, “his life and poetry rewritten from the metaphors of dance,” the institution says from the official profile on Facebook.

Las Carolinas, headquarters of the group located in the historic center of this capital, will host the show, which will promote a broader reading of the universe of the Spanish poet, according to the presentation text of the piece.

Retazos’ repertoire is characterized by articulating elements of diverse aesthetic expressions in its staging, from music to literature, while bringing together “customs, prejudices and experiences that reside in the collective subconscious of universal society”.

The ensemble proposes an approach to the individual from an existential point of view, using movement as a tool to create images and atmosphere that reflect moods and reflection, according to the document.
