Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica to Visit Cuba

The Honorable Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Resilience, Economic Affairs, Investment, Planning, Sustainable Development, Telecommunications, and Broadcasting of the Commonwealth of Dominica, will pay an official visit to Cuba from April 24-27.

The distinguished visitor will talk with Cuban authorities and carry out other activities, announced the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

Mr. Skerrit has been  Prime Minister of Dominica since 2004; he has also been the Member of Parliament for the Vieille Case constituency since 2000.

Regionally, he has served as the chairman of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and most recently as chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) in 2010.

The Prime Minister has always ratified the traditional position of the government and people of Dominica condemning the blockade, which considerably affects the lives of all Cubans.
