President Diaz-Canel praises Cuba-Vietnam friendship

Havana, Aug 29 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Monday heaped praise on the existing brotherly relations between Cuba and Vietnam, as well as the mutual admiration and affection between the two communist parties and governments.

On Twitter, the Cuban leader claimed that these friendly ties were forged by the revolutionary leaders Ho Chi Minh, Raul Castro and Fidel Castro during the fights for Vietnam’s liberation and reconstruction.

Díaz-Canel added to his message the one posted on social media by First Deputy Foreign Minister Gerardo Peñalver, in which he reported that he had started visiting to the Asian country by paying tribute to Cuba’s National Hero José Martí.

Plus, Peñalver said he held a friendly meeting with Nguyen Phuong Nga, President of the Union of Vietnam Friendship Organizations (VUFO)
