The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, held a meeting with nearly 400 Cuban collaborators working in Venezuela, representing the 14,000 deployed in all the states of that sister nation.
This is the first activity on the Cuban president's agenda on Venezuelan soil, where he arrived the day before, leading a delegation to attend the XXIV Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP)
"We are very proud of you," said the president to those who are part of the daily heroism of the Cuban people, the Presidency of the Republic noted on its X account.
The source added that he spoke with them about the country's economic situation and work priorities to get out of the tense moment caused by the intensification of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the U.S. government.
"Surrendering will never be an option; we will come out of this moment fighting, as the Revolution has always done. This is not a slogan, we see examples of heroism and creative resistance every day in our tours of the country," emphasized Díaz-Canel.
