A masterful pitching performance highlighted today’s action in the 64th Cuban National Baseball Series, with the Havana Industriales taking center stage thanks to a “No Hitter” delivered by right-hander Pavel Hernández.

The capital ace recorded his second no-hit, no-run game in the history of the domestic classic, leading the Lions to a commanding 12–0 knockout victory over the Artemisa Hunters — a result that propelled them into third place in the standings.

Over the seven innings of play, Hernández was simply untouchable: he allowed only one walk in the final frame and struck out seven batters, strengthening his lead in that department with 53 strikeouts.

Offensive support came early. The Lions roared with a nine-run rally in the first inning and sealed the deal in the seventh with a grand slam by Ángel Alfredo Hechavarría, part of a 13-hit performance.

Meanwhile, in Sancti Spíritus, the home team Roosters pulled off a major upset, walking off the league-leading Matanzas Crocodiles with a 5–4 win.

Daniel Fernández delivered the decisive hit in the ninth, while Lázaro Fernández opened the scoring with a three-run homer in the first inning. Yankiel Mauris earned the victory with a solid relief outing, and Yosney García took the loss.

In Santiago de Cuba, the Las Tunas Lumberjacks were equally impressive, defeating the Wasps 13–7 in a slugfest. The Alarcón brothers, Yovani and Yordanis, both homered for the Tuneros, along with Luis Pérez and Henry Quintero. For Santiago, Francisco Martínez and Yordis Perera went deep.

The matchup between Camagüey and Holguín ended in controversy: the Bulls won 10–2 on the field but forfeited the game due to an illegal lineup, despite recording 19 hits.

Meanwhile, the Cienfuegos Elephants continued their rise and moved closer to the playoff zone with a 4–2 victory over the Mayabeque Hurricanes. Islay Sotolongo anchored the win, allowing just one run over seven and one-third innings.

The day’s results were completed by victories for the Isla Pirates (4–3 over Pinar del Río) and the Granma Stallions (8–4 against Guantánamo), the latter highlighted by a grand slam from Leonardo Alarcón and a solo homer by Yulieski Remón. The matchup between Villa Clara and Ciego de Ávila was suspended due to rain.
