Paris, Feb 11 (Prensa Latina) Neymar and the alleged curse of his absence in the round of 16 of the Champions League are the focus of PSG fans' attention today, after the star player was injured last night in the French Cup.

Little is actually known about what happened to the Brazilian, who left the game after an hour of play against second division side SM Caen, apparently due to left abductor problems, just five days before the clash against Barcelona at the Camp Nou in the first leg of the round of 16 of the 2020-2021 Champions League.

Neymar posted on Twitter in the early hours of Thursday a message not at all hopeful, in which he entrusted his fate to God, when the millions of fans of the red-and-blue club were waiting for a reassuring tweet.

The medical examinations practiced today to the 29-year-old attacker will say the last word, while the press and PSG fans do nothing but write or talk about the eventful journey of the player since his arrival in 2017 at the Parc des Princes, nothing more and nothing less than for 222 million euros.

As a summary, the Paris Saint-Germain club (PSG) confirmed today the four-week absence of Brazilian star Neymar, after suffering an injury yesterday during the Cup match in French soccer.

According to the newspaper L'Equipe, the medical examination of the South American star diagnosed a grade 2 injury in the left abductor, which leaves him out of next Tuesday's clash against Barcelona, in the round of sixteen of the European Champions League.
