The Transfermovil app, a digital payment app developed by the Cuban Telephone Company (ETECSA), released this week the fifth update of the popular payment platform in 2023.
According to a report by Granma newspaper, the latest version Transfermovil (V.1.231109) features three new, key digital services. The latter was confirmed by Julio Antonio García Trápaga, ETECSA’s head of Support and Development of Digital Products.
One of these key features is the app option to purchase data packages and plans. Before, when the client wanted to purchase a package, had to refill the credit before executing the operation.
Now the package can be purchased and enjoyed in your mobile line or you can directly benefit other person, thus simplifying efficiently the process.
The second novelty will allow clients residing in Varadero, province of Matanzas, to expand payment of water services for clients of the Metropolitano, Popular de Ahorro, and Crédito y Comercio banks through the application.
A third new option from Transfermóvil emerged from the joint work between ETECSA and the Tax Payment Facilitation Office (OFA), attached to the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana.
Now from Monedero Móvil (Mobile Wallet), you can book a visit to eight projects located in the Havana’s Historic Center: The Nine O'Clock Cannon Blast Ceremony, the Castle of the Three Kings of Morro, the San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress, the Granma Memorial, the Che's House socio-cultural center, the Havana Lighthouse viewpoint, Santo Domingo de Atarés castle and the Real Fuerza Castle.
García Trápaga commented that this is the beginning of a great line of development that will extend in a second stage, as early as 2024, to other sites in other cities in Cuba. In the near future, in a third time next year. It will now be possible to book not only historical sites, but also any other service offer made by any provider.
This latest version also brings the name change of “Bolsa MiTransfer” which from now on will be named “MiTransfer,” eliminating the word “Bolsa (Bag),” an initiative shared at the recently concluded Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2023). It will not affect any wallet service.
