Mexico, Mar 9 (Prensa Latina) The Leadership of Mexico's Mission to the Tokyo Olympic Games resumed its meetings with the federations to readjust the delegation that will participate in that international event, the Mexican Olympic Committee (COM) reported on Tuesday.
The COM reported in a press release that it has to do with individual meetings with presidents and delegates of the national federations for an update on technical, administrative and medical issues in order to integrate the sports delegation.
According to the statement, these meetings were resumed after the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games were postponed due to the coronavirus, which paralyzed all activity.
The Leadership of the Mission, chaired by Mario Garcia de la Torre, asked the federation for updated selection criteria by sport, a complete list of athletes, a report on the next qualification events for each discipline, and an update on the athletes' eligibility form.
In the medical field, athletes must undergo at least three anti-doping controls before May 30, PCR tests for SARS-CoV-2 and a period of self-isolation for 14 days before leaving for Tokyo, where they must present a clean bill of health.
