Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba Issues a Call: 1, 2, 3… Everyone On Stage!
especiales

Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba (LADC) announced today that it will bring together diverse generations from the company and its affiliated school for the show 1, 2, 3... ¡todos a escena! (1, 2, 3… Everyone On Stage!), a traditional year-end event.
According to a statement from the institution, the prestigious professional troupe, members of the Vocational Workshops, and the Children's and Youth Ballet will all participate in these performances. The shows will allow audiences to appreciate the progression of students to the highest level of the art form.
The Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater will host the production of 1, 2, 3… ¡todos a escena! on December 13 and 14, at 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. local time, respectively.
A Fusion of Dance Styles
During the show, now a habitual year-end event, new choreographies will premiere featuring LADC's signature style: fusion dance. This style amalgamates elements of flamenco, ballet, contemporary dance, folklore, and various popular Cuban, Afro-Cuban, and urban dances.
Simultaneously, works that form part of the repertoire of the company—founded in 1991 by director, teacher, and choreographer Lizt Alfonso—will be restaged. Alfonso has been recognized as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
In 2025, the professional ensemble performed for the first time in Thailand and Bulgaria, meeting with excellent reception from both critics and the public.
