The Jewels of an Art Collection
especiales
These are meaningful signatures within the panorama of Cuban visual arts in the last decades. And his works are being exhibited until June at the El Reino de este mundo art gallery in the José Martí National Library. The exhibition Un poco de mí includes art works from the National Council of Plastic Arts art collection. The quality of the proposal strengthens the idea of socializing more this cultural heritage, which is, in fact, heritage of the Cuban people.
The individual’s signatures in the style are recognizable. It is a collection where different subjects, formats, techniques, and conceptual lines converge. The backbone is the multiple recreation of a huge heritage, which addresses history, landscapes, and the identity of the nation.
Not all are exhibited here. But every piece exhibited here, ranks in the top. We can witness the poetry of undisputable masters, who have contributed a lot of the collective imagination. Un poco de mí shows “a few stuff” —meaningful, symbolic— of the Cuban culture, from the individual perspective of every artist. The richness of a heritage is also shown by its diversity: dreams and accomplishments perfectly blended in a vibrant framework.
