Iran volleyball team lost to Cuba 3-2 (25-20, 23-25, 23-25, 25-13, 15-9) in 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers on Sunday.

Jesus Herrera Jaime led Cuba with 21 points, while Iran’s Amin Esmaeilnezhad scored 22 points.

Iran suffered their sixth loss out of seven matches.

Team Melli lost to Germany 3-0, Ukraine 3-0, Czech Republic 3-1, Italy, 3-0, Brazil 3-0 and Cuba 3-2 in Pool A held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Iran defeated Qatar 3-1 and finished in seventh place out of eight teams.
