International Congress on Diabetes Opened in Cuba

Havana, Sep 1 (Prensa Latina) The 6th International Congress "Controlling Diabetes and Its Most Severe Complications" was inaugurated on Thursday in Cuba, where specialists from 40 countries will present scientific breakthroughs related to the disease.

The event will be held until September 4 at the Plaza America Convention Center in Varadero, with the aim of expanding knowledge and updating applied techniques.

Cuban and foreign lecturers will discuss the most advanced treatments in the control of the disease in an epidemiological scenario of Covid-19.

Experts in endocrinology, molecular biology, and vascular surgery, as well as professors, doctors, researchers and nurses, will discuss therapies for diabetic foot ulcers and the molecular mechanisms of their healing.
