A supportive hug, comfort, affection, pride, satisfaction, a true and honest hug attracts that positive energy because that skin-to-skin contact is the spark that fuels our feelings, it moves us in that moment.

If there’s something one misses in these months of pandemic it’s a hug from your BBF, the son, the mother, the father, the siblings. It’s really hard not to be able to enjoy life with the elderly, our grandparents, great-grandparents, great uncles.

Covid-19 took that experimental moment that complements the welcome or farewell kiss. It has also shown and taught us through dark moments how fragile life can be, and how quickly it can come to an end.

The fear of getting infected with SARS-CoV-2, the uncertainty of being able to hug or not someone we love dearly, but with whom we don’t coexist or are not sure if they are well protected, has led us to avoid that embrace.

However, sometimes it’s not necessary either wearing a mask and from a distance to know how warm is that hug given with their eyes, a gesture of the hand. That warmth is felt from afar.

Better times will come to embrace, kiss, cuddle. Perhaps in coming days the epidemiological context will improve and a large part of the population can be sure of not being infected after being vaccinated against COVID-19.

Let’s remember among the best measures to cut short the chains of transmission of the new coronavirus, physical distancing stands out among them, in addition to the use of masks and washing of hands and contact surfaces, and in more complex conditions, appears the social distancing. Avoid a hug today and you will protect more lives tomorrow.
