The Month of Francophonie in Cuba continues with an extensive program of activities that reserves at the Casa Vitier Garcia-Marruz two presentations between the French visual arts and music.
The exhibition “Marselle”, with watercolors by Françoise Fages, followed by a recital of French and Cuban songs, with soprano Ivette Betancourt, are the proposals for this day from 3:00 p.m. local time at the aforementioned house of the musical and intellectual García-Marruz family.
There are many events still to be held in the context of the Month of La Francophonie in Cuba, among them, repeated days of exhibitions, concerts, visual arts and music, literature meetings, as well as cinema, and the performance of the French company Bakhus with its hip hop influence on contemporary dance.
This group will perform on Thursday 13 at 4:00 p.m. local time at the headquarters of the Alliance Française on Paseo del Prado, in this capital, to offer a panel discussion on the influence of this music on contemporary dances.
The actions for the Month of Francophonie in Cuba include the theater play “Favez”, expected to be staged at the Adolfo Llauradó theater in El Vedado, from March 18 to 23.
