Fair “Innovation for Development” was officially inaugurated

The 1st Fair “Innovation for Development” opened its doors in this city in the presence of Cuban President Miguel Díaz Canel-Bermúdez, who toured the 50 stands displayed at the International Conference Center along with several top Party and Government leaders.
According to Armando Rodríguez Batista, Minister of Science, Technology and the Environment, the Fairs gathers 120 exhibitors from the fields of health and biotechnology, IT and digital transformation, services, tourism and sustainable development, construction and hydraulic networks, electro-energy and industrial development, integrated transport logistics, education, culture and professional services, food production, and regional development.
About the 383 national entities from different ministries represented in the Fair, the official described it as an opportunity to showcase results and promote major projects designed to find innovative solutions to national priorities.
Featured in the program are the Innovation Forum and workshops on Governance Management Systems based on Science and Innovation and on artificial intelligence, as well as lectures, panels, a session of the Young Innovators Council, award-winning ceremonies, and the signing of agreements.
