Juan Domínguez from Havana and Marlies Mejías from Artemisa became the kings of the road at the 2025 National Cycling Championship.

In the men's 142-kilometer race through eastern Havana to the Bacunayagua bridge, Domínguez (Under-23) defended his crown with a time of 3 hours, 28 minutes, and 53 seconds.

He was joined on the podium by Brayan Mandín (Under-23/3:28.53) and Ricardo Delgado (Elite/3:29.12), both from Sancti Spíritus.

Behind them, Yariel De León (3:29.29) and Yoselín Piedra (3:29.29), both from Matanzas, and Vayron Monteagudo (3:31.54) from Havana, all in the elite category, crossed the finish line at the Reinaldo Paseiro velodrome.

Rounding out the top ten were Randol Izquierdo from Avila (Under-23/3:32.03), José Desa from Havana (Elite/3:32.09), Amad Marcos from Havana (Under-23/3:32.27), and José Manuel Cabrera from Sancti Spíritus (Elite/3:33.11).

The women, who started on a sunny day in the men's peloton, were led by the 2012 London and 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympian, where she finished eighth and seventh, respectively, in the track omnium event.

After the agreed 102 kilometers, Marlies clocked a time of 2:40.37 hours, closely followed by Evelyn Díaz from Holguín, also an elite rider (2:40.39).

The bronze medal went to Eyseli Rodríguez (2:46.04), an under-23 rider from Sancti Spíritus, and Ludisnelis Fleita, from Havana, the country's best elite mountain biker, crossed the finish line with the same time.

Eylín Delgado from Matanzas (3:02.57) and Karen Martínez from Matanzas (3:02.57), both under-23, arrived next.
