Havana, February 4 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC) and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel visited this Friday the La Purísima neighborhood, in the Havana municipality of Cotorro, to verify the works carried out there as part of the transformations that vulnerable communities are experiencing.
In several messages posted by the Cuban Presidency on Twitter, it was announced that the president toured sites in the community where repair works have been carried out.
Díaz-Canel visited the Medical Clinic, the Market, the 'Luis de la Puente Uceda' elementary school, and the 'Pioneers of the Future' Garden.
In La Purísima, he exchanged with neighbors, and urged them to maintain the finished works to advance in the solution of new problems, as well as to participate in the control of the use of resources.
"We have to keep working and maintain what we have done to advance in the solution of new problems. Improve infrastructure, but also work on the spirituality of the communities. Participate and control so that resources are taken advantage of."
La Purísima is one of more than 100 vulnerable neighborhoods in Havana, where social transformations are undertaken by Central State Administration Agencies, the non-state sector, social workers and neighbors.
