Diaz-Canel ratified Cuba champions non-interference principle

Havana, Dec 9 (Prensa Latina) President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Friday ratified that Cuba champions the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of States and said it is up to the Peruvian people to find solutions to their challenges.

The president tweeted that the situation in that South American country derives “from a process led by the dominant oligarchies to subvert the will of the people, who had elected their government under the law.

On Wednesday, the Congress of the Republic approved the vacancy motion against President Pedro Castillo, alleging moral incapacity, and after the announcement by the president of the dissolution of Parliament and the creation of an emergency government.

Then Vice President Dina Boluarte was sworn in as head of State after the ratification of the vacancy, the third one presented since the election of Castillo, with 101 votes in favor, six against and 10 abstentions.
