Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Perdomo continues on Monday his working visit to China with more activities after four days of meeting with authorities and companies from this nation.
The deputy prime minister met this day with representatives of the country’s other government institutions and companies with commercial relations with Cuba.
Perdomo arrived in Beijing on Thursday leading a big delegation. His program began the same day and included meetings with Industry and Information Technology Minister Jin Zhuanglong, Chairman of China International Development Cooperation Agency Luo Zhaohui, and Vice Minister of the National Health Commission Zeng Yixin.
He briefed members of the state mission and students in China about the situation in Cuba and the objectives of his visit here.
Perdomo reviewed essential issues on the bilateral economic agenda in separate meetings with his counterpart Zhang Guoqing and Zheng Shanjie, Chairman of China’s National Development and Reform Commission.
Over the weekend, the Cuban official met with executives from Genertec Group, Haier, Ceie, China Electronics Technology Corporation, and the Biotech Pharma joint venture.
This visit follows that of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, carried out in November 2022, during which 17 agreements on critical sectors were signed.
