Cuban university students will compete in casino dance world contest

Havana, Sep 1 (Prensa Latina) Three Cuban university duets will compete in the world casino dance championship, scheduled for November in Caracas, confirmed today Pedro Lázaro Puentes, an official from the Ministry of Higher Education.

This contest will try to break or establish a Guinness record in this dance modality, specified the also university extension methodologist.

The Cuban trio will come out of a national contest to be held at the zone level in the West, Center and East of the country starting on September 22 and in which the student body will defend the pavilions of their higher education centers.

The first call for the national Festival will take place on the roofed board of La Mariposa of the University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences in this capital to greet the referendum on the Family Code.

Puentes expressed his satisfaction with the support provided by the University’s Board of Directors, headed by its rector Silvano Merced, for the eventT
