Cuban singer-songwriter Eduardo Sosa remains in critical condition, with a reserved prognosis, and with no evidence of neurological improvement, the Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto General Teaching Hospital, in the eastern province of Guantanamo, reported on Friday.
The medical institution published on its Facebook account that the 52-year-old singer songwriter remains on ventilator support and the respiratory infection was accompanied by acute kidney failure.
The Cuban Music Institute informed that on the afternoon of February 3, Sosa suffered a hemorrhagic stroke after his participation in the Guantanamo-Baracoa Theater Crusade.
He was immediately treated by the neurosurgery service of the Guantanamo hospital and the medical staff decided to operate on the patient. The surgery took place on Tuesday morning and was successful.
On social networks and Cuban media, there are many comments of encouragement and solidarity for the beloved artist, who was born in Santiago de Cuba province.
