Cuban health workers who fought Ebola are remembered in Liberia as they return to their homeland

On a day like today in 2015, members of the Henry Reeve Cuban Medical Brigade returned to Cuba after almost six months of fighting the Ebola virus in Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Authorities and officials of the World Health Organization (WHO) of these two African countries paid tribute to these brigaders days before. Likewise, the then Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan emphasized: "The Cuban doctors did not care about the risk, they said they were brothers from the other side of the ocean and they came to help us as brothers".
The Cuban doctors proved to be an example of tenacity and fortitude, their work is synonymous with dedication and love for their work, which has transcended the thresholds of history and has become perpetual.
