Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez recalled that the First Nation and Emigration Conference ended in Havana 29 years ago with the participation of more than 200 Cuban residents in 77 countries.

On Twitter, the head of Cuba’s diplomacy stressed that this event gave continuity to the irreversible and permanent process of strengthening ties between Cuba and its nationals abroad, initiated in 1978.

Cuba would work to provide a quality consular service and promote the participation of nationals abroad in the discussion of bills relevant to society.

In addition, measures aimed at the economic transformation in Cuba, offer those, who wish to do so, the opportunity to contribute to the development of their country of origin, regardless of where they live.

Despite the media’s manipulations of migration issues concerning the country, ignoring the direct influence of the US blockade on the island’s economic context, the Cuban Government does not stop in its interest to continue strengthening relations with its nationals.
