Cuban Delegation of Athletes Arrives to Their Motherland from Paris

The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, attended the reception, along with other high-ranking officials of the Cuban government.

The Cuban delegation of athletes who represented Cuba at the XXXII edition of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games arrived tonight in the Antillean nation.

The group of athletes made their entry into Havana International Airport, José Martí leaving behind several days of struggle where they managed to win two gold medals, one silver and six bronze, which places the Caribbean country in 32nd place on the medal list.

It is worth remembering that in this Olympic event, the Cuban Mijaín López, of the Greco-Roman wrestling, achieved his fifth Olympic title, which represents a milestone in sport at world level and positions Cuba before the world as a reference in the sports field.

After the arrival of the athletes will make a tour through main arteries of Havana (capital) to reach the Piragua, esplanade located in the Havana seawall, where the Cuban authorities have prepared a reception that will unite artists of culture and people.
