Cuban cyclist Arlenis Sierra traveled to Italy on Saturday to continue her training for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, scheduled from July 23 to August 8, 2021.

The information was confirmed to Cubavision Internacional by the athlete, who noted that the training tour will start with the classic Strade Bianche in Italy on March 6.

Sierra, who is the captain of the Italian Monex Women's Pro Cycling Team, assured that she is in good shape to continue with the training for the Tokyo games.

She pointed out that it will be very hard to reach the Olympic podium, especially because she will compete alone for Cuba and will have more than 60 rivals from all over the word, including the best world cyclists.

She added that she will train in Europe for two months, will return to Havana to continue her training, and 20 days later she will join the team again to participate in other competitions.
