Cuba reports 469 new Covid-19 cases and one death

Cuba on Saturday reported 469 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, 36 more than on the previous day, and one death due to complications related to the disease.

Cuba has accumulated 966,473 contagions and 8,323 deaths, according to the latest report from the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).

The Ministry stated that there are 1,473 active cases in the country, 5,576 patients are in hospitals, 3,737 are suspected cases and 366 are under epidemiological surveillance, the MINSAP stated.

On Friday, 205 patients were discharged from hospitals and 956,620 people have recovered from the disease so far, accounting for 99 percent of all cases.

This is Cuba’s eighth day reporting more than 100 cases in one day, the MINSAP authorities warn.

It added that 19 patients are being treated in intensive care units, including three in critical condition and 19 who are seriously ill, the text pointed out.
