Cuba reports 34 new Covid-19 cases

Havana, Dec 9 (Prensa Latina) Cuba today reported 34 new cases of Covid-19, no deaths from the disease and 78 patients, all with stable clinical evolution.
During the day, nine medical discharges were granted and the total number of recovered patients is 1,102,851, and since the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, 1,111,518 cases were reported, while the total number of deaths remains at 8,530.
This favorable epidemiological record is the result of the staggered vaccination campaign against Covid-19, since the Caribbean nation has accumulated the 42 583,737 doses administered with the Cuban immunogens Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala.
The Public Health Ministry reports that 90.3 percent of the Cuban population is fully vaccinated, while 8,662,284 people have booster doses.
According to data from the National Statistics and Information Office, at the end of March of this year, the Cuban population stood at 11 million 105,814 inhabitants.
