Cuba: Los Van Van to perform at Mother’s Day celebration in Mexico

The famous Cuban orchestra Los Van Van will be the main show at the celebration of Mother's Day in the esplanade of the Monument to the Revolution in this capital on Friday.
The band will share the stage with popular young Mexican salsa singer Jorge Carmona, although today is the official date, and for this reason President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador dedicated his daily press conference to a concert of Mexican music in the voices of famous singers Maria Ines Ochoa and Eugenia Leon.
Regarding the concert, called ‘A bailar con mamá! (Dancing with Mamma!), it will begin at 6:00 p.m., local time, although the tribute to mothers will open with a wrestling show, which is so popular in Mexico.
Therefore, the show is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m., local time, with the well-known Cuban group, founded on December 4, 1969, by bassist Juan Formell, who is highly appreciated and remembered in Mexico for his creativity and reforming the Cuban son with elements of rock and jazz.
