A delegation from the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) emphasized the need for strategic alliances to address the global challenges facing humanity today.

Iliana Hernandez, coordinator of the Global South in the PCC’s International Relations Department, made this statement at the 12th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (Icapp), which Cuba is attending for the first time.

Hernandez highlighted that Cuba’s participation reaffirms its commitment to respecting state sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs, and promoting peaceful coexistence.

She described the forum as a vital platform for political coordination and beneficial cooperation among nations, expressing a desire to strengthen PCC’s connections with ICAPP. She affirmed Cuba’s readiness to foster cooperative relations and enhance exchanges with political parties in Asia.

In light of the ongoing global economic and environmental crises, the PCC reiterated its commitment to humanism and solidarity with all peoples striving for progress worldwide.
