Havana, December 19 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez spoke by telephone with his Bahamian counterpart Darren Henfield on bilateral interest issues.

"We expressed our willingness to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation," the Cuban minister said on Twitter.

In 2000, a Cuban consulate general was opened in New Providence, and the embassy began operations in 2004.

According to the website, the two nations cooperate in various areas, including education, health, music, visual arts, national security, agriculture, tourism, and trade.
