Mario Izquierdo, coach of Cuba: This match is extremely important because it puts us in an advantageous situation compared to the group, a match that allows us to still have the possibility of finishing first in our group and already being within the first four of this competition. This was a tough game in which Peru found it a bit difficult for us in the first set, but the boys made the adjustments and we were able to obtain the victory.

Juan Carlos Rodríguez, coach of Peru: Cuba is a team that plays very well, they have a lot of strength in their serve and in their attack, we were able to surprise them in the first set, then they got their rhythm of play and did well, it is a team young and very capable.
