Beijing, Aug 25 (Prensa Latina) Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday started his first international tour in 2020 in Europe, with an agenda that includes officials visits to Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, France and Germany.
According to his office, the tour will end on September 1, and in every stopover, he will meet his counterpart to review major issues on the bilateral and global agendas.
Wang's goal is to make progress in the political and economic agenda to further foster cooperation against the Covid-19 pandemic, maintain stable industrial and supply chains, and explore new fields for business.
He will also seek a coordinated stance to strengthen multilateralism, peace, stability, development and governance in the world.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry noted that Wang's tour is preceded by gestures of mutual support in light of the health emergency, and multiple contacts this year between Chinese top authorities and those European nations, including holding the 22nd high-level summit.
