Casa de las Américas, the iconic cultural institution in downtown Havana, is summoning followers to the educational talk "From Africa to Australia and the Americas: drums, plants and other medicines" on Wednesday.

 
The event, scheduled for 3:00 p.m., local time, at the institution’s Che Guevara Hall, will be chaired by Adrian H. Hearn, drummer and professor of Anthropology at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and Víctor Betancourt, leader of the Casa Templo Ifá Iranlowo, from Cuba, according to the source’s Facebook publicaton.

Casa de las Américas was founded in Havana, on April 28, 1959, and has been ever since promoting sociocultural integration among Latin America, the Caribbean and the rest of the world.
