Boliviana de Aviación (BOA) started flying to Cuba to establish a regular weekly flight from the department of Santa Cruz, a facility for the recovery of tourism in this country, spokespeople commented.

Thursday’s inaugural flight opened another link in the chain of actions to resume the ordinary levels for Cuba in the travel industry, experts from the Cuban Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) said.

In this regard, Periódico Digital Centroamericano y del Caribe (https://newsinamerica.com) emphasized the new link and its significance for the region in terms of transportation and tourism, and commented on the connection.

The inaugural flight brought Bolivian government authorities, headed by Minister of the Presidency María Nela Prada, and Deputy Foreign Minister Freddy Mamani, as well as a group of travel agents, journalists and business people, who are interested in learning about Cuba and exploring investment possibilities.

During the official presentation at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, Cuban Minister of Tourism Juan Carlos García welcomed the visitors, highlighting the historic ties between the two countries.

He pointed out that this flight opened a new chapter in bilateral relations, with stronger and more lasting ties, which will allow us to discover the beauty and diversity of our cultures, and build a future of cooperation and mutual growth.
