Beloved friend of Cuba passes away in Australia

Today, we learned of the death of Joan Coxsedge, dear friend of Cuba and member of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society-Melbourne Branch, which was under her presidency for many years.

Joan Coxsedge was an Australian artist and writer with an extensive career in the defence of human rights and peace.

She visited Cuba on numerous occasions and supported the struggle of the Cuban people against the U.S. blockade. Many Australians have visited Cuba because of her detailed drawings of the island's architecture. 

At this sad time, our sincere condolences go out to her family and friends.
