Argentine Movement denounces intentions to damage ties with Cuba

The Argentine Cuba Solidarity Movement (MasCuba) on Wednesday denounced the efforts to damage diplomatic relations, as well as to aggravate and distort the history of friendship between the two countries.

In an open letter to the Argentine people, the organization condemned recent statements on the alleged presence of ‘Cuban and Venezuelan agitators’ here with the alleged purpose of generating disturbances in a demonstration scheduled for today, which it described as false.

The Movement also criticized President Javier Milei’s intentions to not appoint an ambassador to Cuba and reduce Argentina’s diplomatic representation to the level of chargé d’affaires.

Cuba has never interfered in Argentina’s affairs.

The United States, from whom it is necessary to distance ourselves and be permanently careful, did, the document pointed out.

As Argentineans, we want emancipating integration and not shameful and claudicating annexation before imperialism and Zionism.

The peoples who love and fight for a better world will always win, it adds.

MasCuba described as shameful the behavior of the new authorities and questioned their links with intelligence agencies of the United States and Israel.
