Apple and Google Block App That Tracks ICE Agents
especiales

Apple and Google have blocked the downloads of at least two smartphone applications that allowed users to report the location of agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The move comes days after the Trump administration, through Attorney General Pam Bondi, requested the removal of IceBlock, a popular iPhone app. Apple removed IceBlock and other similar apps, stating that they "violate the company's policies by providing information on the location of law enforcement officers that could be used to harm them individually or collectively."
Google followed suit and removed the Red Dot app, similar to IceBlock, from the Play Store. IceBlock had reached one million total downloads since its launch last April.
The app's developer, Joshua Aaron, argued in a statement that logging ICE activities on U.S. soil is a right protected by the First Amendment and that he will challenge the decision.
