Just one month after their spectacular Roland Garros clash, the world's top two tennis stars, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Italy's Jannik Sinner, will face off again today in the Wimbledon final, promising another potential epic battle.

The 22-year-old Spaniard, ranked world No. 2 and defending champion at this season's third Grand Slam, and the 23-year-old Italian, current ATP No. 1, have dominated the majors since last year, splitting the last seven titles between them. This afternoon's showdown carries the weight of a dream final.

In Paris, on the clay of Philippe-Chatrier, Alcaraz staged a legendary comeback on June 8, overcoming a 1-2 deficit with two tiebreak triumphs (7-6, 7-6) to claim the Musketeers’ Cup after five and a half grueling hours.

Experts believe a similar thriller could unfold at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, the hallowed grounds of grass-court tennis.

Alcaraz enters Centre Court with slight favoritism, backed by his current form, back-to-back Wimbledon titles, and an 8-4 head-to-head lead—including five consecutive wins over Sinner.

The Spaniard, in his short but already prolific career, boasts five Grand Slam trophies, while Sinner seeks his fourth, aiming to surpass his previous best at Wimbledon, where he had never before reached the final.

A day earlier, Poland's Iga Świątek claimed her first Wimbledon title with a historic double 6-0 victory over American Amanda Anisimova, marking the first time such a scoreline has decided a final in the Open Era (since 1968).
