especiales
Acosta Danza Company will present from today, until next day five, a season of world premieres that will includes works by Spanish and Cuban choreographers.
¨Avium¨, by Ely Regina, ¨Nosotros¨, by Beatriz García and Raúl Reinoso, and ¨Twelve¨, by Spanish Jorge Crecis, will be shown to the public at García Lorca Room of Alicia Alonso Havana's Grand Theatre, Prensa Latina reports.
Nosotros, with music by Cuban pianist and composer José Víctor Gabilondo, treats the intimate world of a couple with their zones of light and shadows.
Avium uses the melody of Camille Saint-Saëns and Gabilondo, and resorts to the myth of male and female birds to talk about the cycle of life and solidarity.
Twelve, on the music of Vicenzo Lamagna, demands from the dancers a maximum physical and mental arrangement, with sports and mathematical elements.
Third Season is the title of this program that includes the revivals of ¨Alrededor no hay nada¨, by Spanish choreographer Goyo Montero, on poems by Joaquin Sabina and Vinicius de Moraes, and ¨End of Time¨, a neoclassical piece by American Ben Stevenson, with music by Serguei Rachmaninoff.
It returns to the stage ¨Babbel 2.0¨, by Catalan Maria Rovira, and with an original score of Salvador Niebla; work that is a reflection on the world chaos in the present, where men lack of communication.
Acosta Danza, created by the prestigious dancer Carlos Acosta, debuted in Cuba on April 2016 and responds to a commitment of its founder to offer integrating shows from the contemporary and neoclassicism, without discarding other expressions, times and styles of dancing art.
