Vice President of the Cuban Council of Ministers Receives FM of Nigeria

The Vice President of the Council of Ministers, Ulises Rosales del Toro, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Geoffrey Jideofor Onyeama, who is on an official visit to Cuba.

During the cordial meeting, held on Wednesday afternoon, the two parties spoke about the historic cultural bonds and the bonds of cooperation and solidarity that exist between Nigeria and Cuba, and referred to the common willingness to continue developing bonds between the two nations, the Granma daily reported.

The occasion was also favorable to talk about topics on the regional and international agendas.

Accompanying the distinguished visitor were Vivian Okeke, director of the Department for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Nigerian Foreign Ministry; Eyobong O. Efretuei, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Nigeria to Havana, and other officials of the diplomatic mission.

Cuba was also represented at the meeting by Angel Villa, director for sub-Saharan Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other officials of that ministry.
