Saudi FM Describes as Positive Level of Relations with Cuba

Saudi Arabia''s Foreign Minister, Adel Al-Jubeir, described today as positive the level of relations with Cuba, after receiving the island''s ambassador, Enrique Enriquez, who will soon complete his mission to this nation.
According to a note from the Cuban embassy in Riyadh, the foreign minister of the Arab Kingdom welcomed Enriquez at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Both agreed to highlight the current positive level of ties between their respective countries.
The two diplomats also expressed the willingness of their governments to continue making progress in bilateral cooperation, the report said.
The foreign minister requested that the ambassador convey greetings to his Cuban peer, Bruno Rodriguez, and wished the outgoing ambassador successes for his future mission.
As part of his farewell meetings, Enriquez was received on Thursday, August 11, by the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), Abdul Latif bin Rashed Al Zayani.
Al Zayani stressed the willingness to develop relations with Cuba, whose current level is a source of satisfaction for both sides.
He thanked the ambassador his efforts in the development of relations between the GCC and Cuba, a country he visited in January 2014.
He participated then as a special guest at the Second Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States held in Havana, he recalled.
